A HOTEL WITH OVER 130 YEARS OF HISTORY

The Elephant & Castle Hotel has been part of McKillop Street since 1870, when John Richards first held the licence. Its distinctive front façade, built in 1891, remains a familiar sight today.

Through generations of licensees, the hotel has retained its welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere. When Geelong-born photographer Darryn Lyons took over in early 2012, he brought a modern flair while preserving the pub’s historic charm.
